MCS’ Electronic Health/Medical Record (EHR/EMR)
for acute and sub acute care represents a single
source for viewing all relevant patient information
—from all aspects of clinical care — throughout the
health systems or hospitals or long-term care facilities.
iEHR is MCS’ solution developed using Microsoft technologies,
particularly, .net framework 2.0,
Visual Studio .net, and SQL Server 2005.
MCS iEHR captures all pertinent information from admission
through discharge. Each episode of care follows complete
RADT cycle, that is, registration, admission, transfer,
and discharge. The discharge summary generated by
iEHR
helps house staff take prompt decisions, which best satisfy
clinical care and administrative mandates. iEHR supports all
processes, which are relevant for inpatient care, such as:
- Case Management.
- Scanning Patient’s Wristband for positive
patient identification.
- Scanning bar codes for complying with “five rights” including right medication.
- Capturing voice entry through dictation/speech recognition.
- Viewing transcriptions as an integral part of
iEHR.
- Workflow features of ordering, fulfillment of orders, and document routing.
MCS iEHR is not directed towards or available for ambulatory EMR applications.
By adhering to industry standard interoperability standards, such as, ASTM CCR
(Continuity of Care Record), MCS iEHR can import and export relevant patient
information from/to any third-party ambulatory EMR systems.
Robust interoperability support is provided
through HL7 interface schema to third-party
Hospital Information Systems (HIS); Clinical
Data Repositories (CDR); Labs/Tests Information
Systems; PACS for cardiac and other images; and
Pharmacy Systems.
MCS iEHR is extremely secure and stable
computerized health record system for acute /
sub acute care, adhering to integrity standards
as mandated by HIPAA, JCAHO etc., with built-in
functionalities of Computerized Provider Order
Entry (CPOE), Electronic Medications
Administration Record (eMAR), Enterprise wide
Resource Scheduling, Electronic Document
Management, and Electronic Interface Services to
numerous third-party HIT products using
industry-standard and/or proprietary standards. |
