Designed to be the “First Responder” to the care needed at Echelon-I and Echelon-II of the US Army, MCS EMR for Defense is designed as a mobile charting solution, which can be taken to the battle field, with capabilities to read from / write to a Smart Card / SD-MMC based patient record, “handing over” the field transaction from the mobile device to the evacuation crew by beaming encounters, and eventually merging field encounters to the Army’s enterprise EHR, residing on secure Oracle database.
