Medical Communication Systems, Inc. announced the release of its much-awaited Healthcare Enterprise Management products – MobileHealthcare.Net – a full-featured suite of server-centric applications for Enterprise Appointments Scheduling (EAS) and Enterprise Medical Records (EHR). 

Medical Communication Systems, Inc. has been serving the healthcare enterprises by providing its mMD.Net suite of products, which are designed to work through a middle-tier and integrate with backend legacy applications, CDR, and Hospital Information System (HIS) and/or Practice Management System (PMS). 

With the launch of full-featured products on enterprise servers, the Company would be able to serve the physicians and their practices by providing application solutions, which increase their productivity, reduce administrative overheads, and increase patient safety. 

MobileHealthcare.Net is a Microsoft .Net enabled enterprise framework, which facilitates running enterprise management applications on various types of computers [ranging from handheld computers to typical laptop and desktop computers], while they are connected or disconnected to the enterprise network [local area or wide area] using various connectivity options [wireless and wired].  

mMD.Net Personal and Professional editions of Charts and CPOE applications would get terminated at mMD.Net.Net server, which would manage the mobile devices and handheld computers, and would have capabilities to terminate data on MobileEHR.Net, the EHR product of the Company, or any other CDR / HIS / PMS through open interface standards HL7 or proprietary interfaces, which can be built for leading software products vendors.

mMD.Net: Charts on Fujitsu Pentab Table PC attracted significant attention of many physicians and other caregivers at TEPR-2003, held at San Antonio, Texas. Delegates visiting from countries outside the US were impressed with the capabilities of mMD.Net:Charts on usual Windows machine, and expressed their interest in working with Medical Communication Systems for their EHR projects and mobile initiatives.

Medical Communication Systems, Inc. announced the release of its mMD.Net: Charts application templates on Fujitsu Pentabs, on the opening of TEPR-2003, San Antonio, Texas. TEPR-2003 is country's premier trade-show featuring best clinical solutions, with emphasis on EHR and CPOE applications.  

mMD.Net: Charts began its journey of evolution from Palm PDA, those days known as 3COM Palm Pilot! Since then, mMD.Net: Charts evolved to work on variety of Palm OS based PDA and other handheld devices, such as, Smart phones. In beginning 2001, the Company announced the launch of its Ver 4.0, which worked on Palm PDA as well as Pocket PC, the new entrant to the market, using Microsoft Windows CE operating system. By launching similar application templates for Tablet PC, Medical Communication Systems, Inc. has demonstrated its commitment to further the cause of mobile computing for the mobile caregivers, and its clinical suite of products to work on all leading handheld computers and devices. 

At TEPR-2003, Medical Communication Systems, Inc. was invited by Fujitsu Corporation to demonstrate its product as part of Fujitsu Partner's Pavilion.

Medical Communication Systems, Inc. announced today that its mMD.Net: CPOE would utilize rich clinical content from MICROMEDEX, the most trusted name in providing evidence-based clinical content in the healthcare industry. mMD.Net: CPOE would be able to provide many critical “clinical alerts” to caregivers using MICROMEDEX Drug Database. mMD.Net: CPOE would provide Drug-Drug interactions, Drug-Food interactions, Drug-Allergy warnings, Pregnancy warnings, Drug-Diseases contraindications and precautions, ingredient duplication warning etc., which caregivers need at the point-of-care

Medical Communication Systems, Inc. announced today that it has released the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) System, which would strengthen its Clinical Applications Suite meant for healthcare providers at HIMSS 2003, San Diego, California. Speaking of relative importance of medications orders and their administration in US healthcare organizations, the Company spokesperson said that, “Agreeing with the conclusions drawn by “To Err Is Human”, an IOM study prepared in December, 1999, is an individual's choice. However, the fact remains that number of people are seriously injured or killed each year as a result of medical errors, as covered by television specials and magazine articles.”  

The company is one of the pioneers in providing Point-of-Care solutions on Palm and Pocket PC Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) to highly mobile healthcare providers since 1997. mMD.Net: Charts has remained one of the most popular PDA based program for clinicians across the world. mMD.Net: CPOE would be one more feather in its clinical application suite, which would be exhibited at HIMSS-2003 at booth # 7409.
